Very few of the top draft prospects disappointed during the 2018 NFL Combine held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Even so, there are a few who stood out even amongst a relatively competitive field.
Below are the top four competitors at the 2018 NFL Combine.
Saquo Barkley (Running back – Penn State)
The former Penn State star blew away his competition on the field and off of it. When he wasn't busy dominating the drills, he was endearing himself to the media during the media press conference with poise well beyond his years.
Josh Allen (Quarter Back – Wyoming)
Josh Allen had some great performances to fall back on heading into the 2018 NFL draft, but none more so than his second half in the Senior Bowl. He showed just how good his arm was with perfect long ball passes, as well as showed off some notable improvements in terms of accuracy.
Nick Chubb (Running Back – Georgia)
Chubb reminded everyone at the 2018 NFL Combine that he still has potential to be one of the most dynamic playmakers, something that most people thought he could never become after a knee injury during his sophomore year at Georgia.
Quenton Nelson (Offensive Lineman – Notre Dame)
Guards usually don't land in the top 10 during the NFL draft, but Quenton Nelson seems intent on defying the norm. Referred to as the surest thing in the 2018 NFL Draft pool even before the combine, Nelson did not disappoint and proved that he is the best offensive line prospect in the pool.
