Sports: A must in Life

What in fact is the meaning of the word ‘Sports’? Do the Video Games are also considered as Sports? Well, to answer that, “Sports” means and includes any sorts of activity that uses physical exertion and skills in a competitive manner and with positive attitude and aptitude, given under some rule and regulations that are not on the basis on aesthetics. The person or the player involved in such sports requires certain qualities in their character called Sportsmanship, that include attitude, fairness, willingness, determination, and the heart to win or lose gracefully.

And video games are also a kind of sports that provide their own share of health benefits, like they help in maintaining eye and hand co-ordination, intense concentration and all, but it kind of makes a person all locked up in their houses and in their playroom or den. They make a person more tech savvy and there is hardly any physical exercise involved. So, outdoor games are more preferable in terms of better health. For health and sports go hand in hand and could be interpreted as two phases with same results.

In today’s world where everyone is in a busy schedule and routine whether young, adult or old. And this where sports and games come in. Sports are essential in everyone’s life. It helps one to stay focused with the further goals and helps one to keep a calm and cool head, on the contrary to all the hot headed tactics one use in games. Success, excellence, achievement, failure, overcoming fears and failures, one gets to experience all this in sports altogether, just like a business mind. From kids to the elders, slim to obese, everyone should take part in some or the other sports.
