The health risk and issues associated with American Football

They are legitimate if they are within the game rules. Therefore, the risks of injuries in this game are quite high. The injuries can be attained during the duration of the game or practice session as well. The factors that can aggravate the injuries can be many. The most important factor is the age. It has been observed the older players are at a high risk of injuries than their younger counterparts.

The most common injuries that are associated with the game of American Football are sprains, strains, fractures, dislocations along with concussions.  While the other form of injuries can be the cause of physical pain and are healed quite easily, concussion can bear some dire consequences in the pose of threatening mental illness like chronic traumatic encephalopathy and dementia. The risk of injuries can be lowered to a considerable extent with the aid of proper sports gear and experienced coaches.

It is a common practice in leagues to produce a public record of the injured players along with the game-day status and nature of injury of each and every player. Serious catastrophic injuries and fatalities have been quite less in the game since 1970s.  However, quite a few numbers of injuries still occur annually in the various matches that are played across. It is no doubt an enjoyable game but the associated risks are high as well
